Lincoln Hall Project

Historical Features

Meaningful Designs

Much of the essence behind Lincoln Hall’s architecture is in the details. In making Lincoln Hall, builders, artists, and designers sought to create an air of wisdom, heritage, and intrigue around this building dedicated to the humanities. The detailing was pondered and even argued over. Some of Lincoln Halls features were new for their time, and others were built as what the designers called a “labor of love.”

Here you will find images and descriptions of some of this historic landmark’s most significant features—and some you may have missed—from the identities of those faces on the exterior walls to medallions perched on the walls of Lincoln Hall Theater

All of these historical features will be cleaned and restored during the renovation.
